Project Overview
The touch screen table was custom-built using high-quality pine wood, ensuring durability and a design that complements the rustic aesthetic of the listed pumphouse building.
Technology: Integrated into the table is a state-of-the-art touch screen and a connected PC. This setup is designed for durability and ease of use, with a user-friendly interface suitable for children.
Game Design: The table features an interactive puzzle game focused on trains and train tracks. This game is crafted to be educational, engaging, and appropriate for young museum visitors. The game challenges players to solve train track puzzles, thereby encouraging problem-solving skills and teaching them about the logistics and engineering behind train systems.

Our Contributions
The Fixatorium uilised an iPad-based CAD application called Shapr3D to meticulously designed the pine wood frame of the table to blend a screen with the historical aesthetics of the museum's interior. The building process was a collaborative effort, involving the Fixatorium team and the Pumphouse staff, fostering a shared sense of ownership and pride in the final product. The studio also conducted thorough research to identify and install the ideal game software, choosing 'Railbound' for its engaging arcade-
style gameplay that appeals to young train enthusiasts.
Importantly, the game operates entirely offline, ensuring that digital safeguarding measures are in place, making it a safe and secure experience for young visitors.
Since its launch, the table has become a focal point in the museum, frequently used by visitors and their train-enthusiast children, proving to be a significant enhancement to the museum's educational resources and visitor experience.
